EXSCITE PROGRAM
The EXSCITE program derives its acronym from the key words Excellence in Science and Technology. It is aimed towards students who wish to pursue an academic pathway in the subjects studied at Helensvale State High School. It has been structured around an academic base of subjects to assist the student in developing the vital learning skills which will enable them to successfully access a broader range of opportunities for the future. |

This program has been developed and is lead by the Science Department and as a consequence, the study of the sciences takes a central role in the development of the student. It is therefore necessary for candidates to demonstrate an interest and aptitude for the sciences, along with the associated discipline of mathematics.
When considering suitable students, the EXSCITE co-ordinations assess a number of key factors that extend beyond a focus on academic ability alone. Excellent candidates for the program are those students who also demonstrate exemplary behaviour along with a work ethic which displays the attitude and commitment towards achieving their academic potential.
